Contracting for Health and Human Services
Contracts
Contract templates are developed by the Department of the
Attorney General.
There are 6 different contract templates for purchases of health and
human services pursuant to HRS 103F.
They are: competitive, treatment, restrictive, crisis, small
purchase and contracts exempt from HRS chapter 103F.
The type of contract utilized is determined by the method of
procurement that was utilized to obtain the service.
Contract General Conditions
- Competitive (RFPs) General Conditions
- Treatment, Restrictive, crisis, small purchase and contracts exempt from Health and human services share the same general conditions,
Where are the Contract Templates?
The competitive contract template is available in electronic format on the State Forms Central site. in the internal Internal' forms section. Remember it is an AG template. The number is AG-103F.
The other contract template forms are not available in electronic format yet. Contact your administraative services office if you need a copy.
Why are they different?
The Department of the Attorney Generaal deveoped the electronic format for competitive purchase of service contract first because it is the template used most often. It is in PDF format and allows you to incorporate the entire contract into a single document. While that template was being developed, the chapter 103D contract templates were developed in an MS word format.
Both contain form fields where you may enter text, but the remainder of the text is locked so that it may not be accidentally altered. This assists deputy AGs in reviewing your contracts more quickly, as they will not need to scrfutinize the 'locked' text.
Before developing the remaining templates, we'd like your comments and feedback. Which format works best? Please e-mail: Corinne Higa with your comments and suggestions.
